Where is Joshimath
Joshimath is a town located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is situated in the northern Himalayan range and is an important center for Hindu pilgrimage and winter seat of one of the four cardinal institutions, the Badrinath Temple. Joshimath is also known for its scenic beauty and is a popular destination for trekking and skiing. It is also an important center for education and research, as it is home to the Garhwal University. Joshimath is also known as Jyotirmath, and it's one of the four cardinal institutions or Mathas established by Adi Shankaracharya, the famous Indian philosopher and theologian. The other three Mathas are located at Dwaraka, Puri, and Sringeri.
